Potomac Elementary School in Dahlgren has been named a Title I Distinguished School by the Virginia Board of Education for its success in raising the academic achievement of economically disadvantaged students. The school was one of 36 in the state to be recognized for achieving reading and math Standards of Learning pass rates at the 60th percentile or higher and meeting all state and federal accountability requirements for two consecutive years.
