U.S. denial of soldiers' injuries is outrageous

IN A POWERFUL and Pulitzer-worthy scoop, the New York Times has just revealed a new outrage upon America's sense of decency--by catching government officials in the act of breaking faith with the men and women who volunteered to fight for us in faraway lands. The Times' investigative article, written Wednesday by correspondent C.J. Chivers, documented at least six occasions since 2004 when U.S. troops were secretly exposed to Iraqi chemical weapons, including the perilous Sarin nerve agent--but U.S. officials withheld the truth and medical treatment from their own soldiers....
