Though many area graduating classes in the Fredericksburg region improved average scores on the SAT Reasoning Test, only a fraction of schools outperformed averages in Virginia and the nation overall. The College Board, which administers the SAT Reasoning Test, released average scores for public school students in the Class of 2014 on Wednesday with a national average score of 1,497, and a state average of 1,530.
