The following students have been selected as the Fredericksburg Optimist Club's Students of the Month for May. Nicole Alsop, daughter of Leroy and Missy Alsop, was selected at Spotsylvania High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. She works as an office aide in the school's main office. She has received several academic honors. Nicole has received her red belt at Soo Bahk Do Karate. She is a Special Olympics athlete in basketball and volleyball. She is active in her church and is an after-school volunteer at an elementary school. ...
