A high school is on lockdown as police search for a man who allegedly ran away from the scene of a murder in Fredericksburg Friday afternoon. Fredericksburg police are trying to locate Steven Briel after officers said a woman was found unconscious at her home near James Monroe High School around 3 p.m. Police said that the victim later died later at the hospital.
