Governors seek aid for livestock farmers

As drought conditions shrivel the nation's corn crop, feed costs are rising for farmers whose livestock eats that corn. This week, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell joined eight other states' governors in asking the federal Environmental Protection Agency to waive renewable-fuel standards so that less corn can go toward ethanol for fuel, leaving more for chickens and swine....
