Officials are already prepping Fredericksburg residents and commuters for various traffic changes during the city's ' 2015 First Night Fredericksburg ' celebration of the New Year's Eve holiday. Traffic : Sophia Street from George to Wolfe Street and 100 blocks of Charlotte and Hanover Street will close from 3 p.m. Dec. 31 through 2 a.m. Jan. 1. Public parking lots in the 600-900 blocks of Sophia Street will close from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m. Pay close attention to posted parking signs.
