When she was 18, Elaine Davia left home to become a nun with the Sisters of Bon Secours, a religious congregation of Roman Catholic women headquartered in Marriottsville, Md. Now 68, Davia is celebrating her 50th jubilee and will speak during Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church on Dec. 6 and 7. When she was in the second grade, Davia moved with her family from the Philippines, where her father was stationed with the U.S. Army, and began attending Montfort Academy, a Catholic school in Fredericksburg.
